Physiotherapy

These services are primarily concerned with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of injuries involving the neuro-musculo-skeletal system.

NEURO – Nerves

MUSCULO – Muscles and Tendons

SKELETAL – Bones, Joints, Cartilage and ligaments

Injury to any of these above mentioned structures may lead to one or a combination of symptoms like pain, swelling, numbness, pins and needles, etc. Our physiotherapist’s role, then is to identify the structure that has been damaged or injured and if possible, the cause of the injury and the way it happened. The understanding of these factors helps us focus on treatment and preventing recurrence.

It is important to us that you feel comfortable and completely confident in our operators and hence we spend the time to listen to our patients and their recount of their injuries before performing our own diagnostic tests and investigations to establish the nature and cause of the injury and symptoms.

Once the cause has been determined our skilled Physiotherapist may then provide a range of treatments that may include hand mobilisation and manipulation of stiff joints or tight muscles and provide an exercise program for muscle strengthening. As a part of our recovery protocol we provide advice on which daily activities to perform and avoid for accelerated recovery and for prevention of recurrence thereafter with the help of our Future Prevention Program that is focussed on identifying “physiologically incorrect and asymmetrical” movements and correcting them.

Our aim is to help our patients get back to their life and therefore, our care is individually tailored and centred on assisting them into smooth recovery and future prevention.
